Dubai City Tours and Safaris

Dubai has many diverse cultural landmarks and entertainment options that keep residents occupied and happy, as well as attracts many tourists every year. There are some incredible theatres, sporting events, museums and other activities to make a vacation in Dubai an unforgettable experience. The desert safaris are particularly enticing to tourists and offers them an excellent opportunity to explore this unique geographic aspect of Dubai. There are many options available and group tours are generally oriented to and popular with tourists. This gives families, work and other groups the chance to experience and learn about the desert together. The desert is the heartland of all of Arabia and taking a trip out into it makes a visit to the UAE complete. There are also various theme and time aspects offered by the tours. Some are partial day, full day and some are even overnight tours. Part of the package includes a visit to goat and camel farms.

The city tours are similar, only they are oriented toward a full city experience. They also have various times and lengths to suit all interests and schedules. Dubai is rather compact, and the streets are well made, which makes touring the entire city an exciting and easily managed activity. It is recommended that tourists take a city tour early in their vacation so that they have some kind of a bearing on the city and also it gives them ideas for locations they want to explore more in-depth on another day.

Dubai Zoo

Dubai has many interesting aspects and scenic elements that are attractive to tourists. Some of the cultural heritage orientated landmarks are an essential aspect of this metropolis to its residents, and though sometimes they can be taken for granted when viewed everyday and are incorporated into one’s lifestyle, they are unique and awesome to vacationers who are new to the city. One of the easily overlooked attractions is also one of the most interesting. This is the Dubai Zoo. Tourists who are staying in a luxury hotel Dubai can gain information on this and other attractions from the concierge.

The Dubai Zoo serves many purposes and is the oldest of its kind in the entire Arabian Peninsula. It is progressive and serves as an inspiration to other zoo’s and conservation efforts. It is the first in Arabia to breed the Chimpanzee and Arabian Wild Cat, and initiates may preservation programs. It also serves as a major landmark as it is located on the edge of town and designates its end. It is also the greenest part of the suburb of Jumeirah, and is surrounded by plenty of trees. This helps to make it the perfect location for a zoo.

The zoo started out with just a few animals including monkeys, large cat species and various hoofed animals, and has grown tremendously through the years. It has recently undergone renovations to improve both its appearance and also enhance its services and functions. Today the zoo has many special exhibits and educational aspects that enrich and engage its visitors. It also provides an excellent opportunity for tourists to spend an afternoon. The zoo was first built when Otto J. Bulart received permission for its construction from the late ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum. The Dubai Municipality took over its operations and management in 1971.
