Get some sales training

There are many things you can do to be more appealing in the job market. You could get a haircut or buy some new makeup. You could buy up a new outfit or go get a super fancy MBA.  Most employers just really wish their employees just had a little more sales bravado. Luckily it is fairly easy to gain a little bit of experience with a sales training program.

Sales training is something that can significantly pump your resume. An employer is more likely to take notice of your resume if you do something that sets yourself apart. It also helps to gain more experience to keep your resume fresh. In a job market that can be stagnant, having a bit of extra training will not only keep you more positive but might jumpstart your motivation.

Having leadership skills development may also put you into an entirely new job category that you may never have applied for. Anytime you take on a new skill set you open yourself up to many more opportunities.

Although, in the end, selling also has to be something that you want to do, it can’t always be taught. You have to be ambitious and have a drive to work only on commissions.

Whatever you decide to do in your career, it is wise to expand your career repertoire. Or look into other careers. It’s not often that you really get a chance to sit down and think about what you want out of life.  Think about what makes you really happy and what you want out of the rest of your life. If you can see yourself going down another career path, you need to think about if it is possible for you.

Training may be the answer or it might not be, but anything that you think could give you the upper hand on your next job interview is worth looking into.
