Balearic Island of Ibiza

The Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain are beautiful and while often considered as a group, and do have common elements, they are each unique in their cultural heritage traditions, artistic expressions and diverse offerings. They are all popular tourist destinations, and many people who vacation there spend time on one or more island or islands. Majorca is the largest of the Balearics, and is also the most heavily populated. In the last thirty 30 it has seen a tremendous increase in the number of tourists it receives each year, and this increase has spilled over to the other islands. Minorca is slightly larger than Majorca, though it has a much smaller population. It is well known for its prehistoric ruins as well for the great festivals that occur there every summer. Ibiza is the third largest of the four main Balearic Islands and probably the most notorious. Formentera is the smallest these islands and is located very close to Ibiza. A short fairy trip easily conveys residents and tourists from island to island and is recommended to visitors on each island. Formentera is known for the beautiful clear waters the hug the white sandy beaches.

Ibiza may be notorious for its club and party scene, but that is not the only thing it has to offer, and it should be recognized for all of its elements. There are various tours available to thoroughly explore the island. And for those who like to do it on their own, Ibiza car rentals are extremely reasonably priced and ready for the active tourist. The two main towns on the island are San Antonio and Ibiza Town. These are also the primary locations from some of its most prestigious and popular nightclubs. There are also great restaurants, museums, landmarks and entertainment genres to keep all visitors engaged, interested and happy. The numerous beaches on the island offer great opportunity for water sports enthusiasts and are often full of sunbathers, swimmers, snorkelers and surfers. Most of the beaches have showers available and of course restaurants, cafes and bars and Ibiza resorts near by.
